The Sims 4: Bound by Wild Desire

Nosco's little freak-out prompted him to find a new house to move into. While Myllenium was gone to work, he went on his cellphone (as he no longer trusted his computer) and decided to look around for another home. He found one, but it was too expensive. After selling all his worldly possessions, he still found himself short a few thousand dollars (simoleons, whatever), so he had to empty out the new house somewhat in order to afford it. A few moments later, he was in his new home.

The second floor, containing an open space for a lounge-type area, a small study
for Myllenium and Nosco, a nice, larger bathroom, a master bedroom, and a
guest bedroom (empty).

Funny enough, when Myllenium came back from work, not only did she know to come here instead to her old address, but she also didn't comment on the complete change of scenery. Instead, she promptly met with Nosco for some nice "woo-hoo".

Life for the Sabrukas continued on with a semblance of normalcy at that point. Nosco seemed to have recovered from his madness, and continued working on the video game he started a while ago. Myllenium, on the other hand, continued to paint and write novels.

Speaking of novels, Myllenium has published quite a few, and has been racking up royalty money like crazy, sometimes making upwards 1000$ a day. The extra revenue was very welcome, and with that money they decided to furnish more of the house, mainly the lounge and living room. They bought a fireplace, some furniture, and a nice looking bookshelf. Satisfied, they decided to go down and admire their new belongings. Nosco started a fire, and both of them scuttled closer to warm up, until...

Myllenium suddenly and inexplicably caught fire. I don't know, perhaps her hair was more flammable? Ignoring how someone standing 4 feet away could spontaneously combust, Nosco jumped into action.

Luckily, Nosco managed to pull out the fire extinguisher he conveniently keeps in his ass, and put Myllenium out. Despite being burned to a crisp, she survived and recovered quickly after a nice long bubble bath, leaving Nosco to clean up the flakes of burned skin that fell off while she walked away.

After that eventful week, Nosco and Myllenium shared a nice dinner together, relaxing and enjoying their new-found home.

TS4: Smooth Criminal (Part 5)

The Sims 4: Smooth Criminal

The descent into madness continues as the quirkiness of Nosco and Myllenium further damages their already unstable minds.

For starters, Myllenium has been dividing her time between painting and writing. Since she gave up her job as head caterer, she became a writer and has since been promoted to blog writer, a very glamorous position I can assure you. She has been focusing less on her painting, and more on her writing, but both activities bore her after a certain time.

Since the destruction of her gym, Myllenium has been feeling more and more tense lately, caused by her lack of physical activities. Over time, she became sad, started waking at all hours of the night, messing up tasks that should be second nature for her (she was a chef for crying out loud), so I started her up on a workout routine again, forcing her to go jogging every day off she has.

While she was gone, I proceeded to expand her office.

Here she is, painting and writing in her new office.

The new routine seems to have her feeling better; I guess physical exercise has some benefits after all!

Nosco's mind seems to be slipping further into dementia as time goes on. On his free time, he started making mobile apps like mad, racking up some much needed cash with royalties. He also seems to have a very, um, unhealthy relationship with the new second floor bathroom. He's been spending an absurd amount of time in the bath, apparently laughing like mad among the bubbles. Things in that bathroom also seem to break quite a bit when he's there; once he went to the toilet to pee which broke the toilet, then washed his hands and THAT broke, then took a shower which ALSO broke!

radioactive green. Also, notice the expanded office in the back.

Besides his high-paying job and app royalties, Nosco has continued to steal his way to riches by hacking. He has hacked trust funds, banks, and the local school. He bit more than he could chew though when he tried to hack an entity known only as "Supercomputer". After about two hours of work, Supercomputer proved to be resistant to Nosco's hacking.

That itself didn't do much, but when Supercomputer HACKED BACK, Nosco understandably freaked the f*ck out. In the end, Supercomputer hacked SO HARD, it broke Nosco's computer, sending the man fleeing out in terror.

Nosco, feeling paranoid, couldn't shake the feeling that Supercomputer would come back to haunt him, possibly send cops and other law enforcement after him. With his growing madness, I fear for what this will do to his mind. I have to do something about this before it gets out of hand.

TS4: I'm No Tim Allen (Part 4)

Still no screenshots today as I'm trying to find what exactly the issue is with the framerate drops. I might have to lower visual quality even further, so prepare your eyes. (I wonder... perhaps the autosave is causing the issue? Making a note of it here.)

The Sims 4: I'm No Tim Allen

Not much has gone on since yesterday's post, with Nosco and Myllenium spewing about (I should find a better term for that). The only thing of note is that Myllenium started painting as a hobby and a sort of second revenue source, and that she quit her job as a caterer and became a writer instead. Both Nosco and Myllenium have gotten some royalties from their mobile apps and books, respectively.

Instead, I spent most of yesterday's play session redecorating the house. I started off trying to better Myllenium's office, but found it too cramped to do anything there. Then, I tried to use the remaining 5x6 space on the second floor to make a lounge, but still couldn't get something that made me happy. Basically, I failed miserably after an hour of renovations, and had to undo everything I did to avoid losing all my cash. I'll try removing the wall between Myllenium's office and the 2nd floor lounge to make her office a massive 5x9 room, filled with bookcases, a fireplace, couches and a nice desk. I'll use her now defunct gym on the first floor and convert it into a living room with couches and a TV.

I didn't do much yesterday due to lag and the aforementioned renovation failures, so I'm going to cut out now. I'll try to write something better tomorrow.

TS4: Disturbing Children Books (Part 3)

No screenshots today; EA released a patch yesterday, which made my game really choppy. I already lowered the graphical settings, but this is bizarre considering I have some pretty high-end and recently-built gaming rigs.

The Sabrukas' stories marches on as things get more and more strange in their lives. In terms of renovations, I expanded upon the second floor again by adding a nice, luxurious bathroom, complete with high-end shower and bath. I also started adding decorations around, which I've never really bothered with before.

I built Myllenium her own private office, much smaller than Nosco's. See, on the second floor, the space allocated for the bathroom and a nice reading room I wanted to build was 5 spaces by 12 spaces. The bathroom took 5x3 spaces, as any bigger made the room feel immense, so that leaves 5x9 spaces for a reading room. After experimenting with room sizes, I can't seem to design a nice looking study any larger than 5x6 spaces, leaving a 5x3 space room available. I didn't know what I could do with that space; it is too small for any really functional room since just placing a couch there would take up a good percentage of the space, and the only thing I really think could fit there would be a bathroom, which I already have on the second floor.

Ever since I took away Millenium's alcohol, she seemed a little depressed, choosing to spend her free time staring at walls and doing sit-ups at random hours of the night. I decided she needed a hobby, something to keep her mind active during her free time, so I had her pick up writing. She seems surprisingly good at it, and started reading a lot more as a result. She also finished writing her first book:

Yikes Myllenium, what happened to you??

She seemed much happier with this hobby, but it presented us with a problem. See, in order for Nosco to proceed with his career as a start-up entrepreneur, he needs to make some royalties on mobile apps. The problem is that he can only create mobile apps at home ('cause apparently all he does at work is dick around) on the computer, while Myllenium can only write books on a computer (because apparently sims don't know how to write by hand). With a single computer, this was a problem.

The Passage of Time

This is poetry / But this is not a haiku / See? Told you so

Myllenium's new masterpiece, a book of poetry she is currently writing. Anyways, I decided that if Myllenium wanted to write, she should have a room dedicated to her craft. Thus, I squeezed a desk, chair, bookshelf and computer into the 3x5 room, converted it into a study, and voilà! This seemed to satisfy both Myllenium and Nosco's needs.

I always assumed that when I was making changes to the house, the game would treat it as if the sims themselves were doing the renovations and whatnot, but I am not so sure anymore. I think that my changing his environment quasi-daily is making Nosco slowly go insane. After completing the bathroom, he started talking to himself, but only while he was in said bathroom. I thought that was funny, but once I completed the second study, he started talking to himself constantly, and only when he was alone. This is really quite eerie, as sometimes he only seems to be whispering to himself, staring at nothing.

"Sul sul boobasnot ravasheen!" Sure Nosco, sure...

TS4: Home Improvements, and a Budding Drinking Problem (Part 2)

Note: I've added some sims from my friends and family into the game, but I won't be following them closely. The game does a good job of automating their lives without my influence, so I will only report on them when they are relevant to the current plot.

Nosco struggles, Myllenium soars.

So I played a little more last night, and each of the sims' personalities was fleshed out a little more, and in a surprising direction. As a couple, Nosco and Myllenium are going very well, despite their weird and disconnected schedules. Whenever they have any free time, they spend it eating together, working out or doing "woo-hoo", which doesn't surprise me much.

On his own, Nosco has stagnated a bit career-wise, having become an entrepreneur with his own start-up. He's making quite a bit of money, and is pouring that money into home improvements, starting with a better office.

He also does, on his free time, some freelance work for some extra cash, having apparently abandoned his desire for hacking.

Nosco sometimes plays with things he shouldn't. The face he made upon seeing his
bluescreen made me giggle.

Things, as were expected, kept breaking around the house, which Nosco diligently fixed.

Seriously, Nosco has fixed this toilet about 10 times now. Someone in this house
is taking some seriously oversized sh*ts.

Myllenium, on the other hand, can't stop working out, and has developed a very strange habit, completely out of tune with her real-life counterpart.

Yes, you saw that right, Myllenium is making herself a drink. This has been going on for days, with her drinking at least two glasses a day, like in the above example where I'm strongly suspecting she's drunk. On her days off, she literally starts jogging to the bar, coming back hammered.

I'll have to watch out for that. To avoid her rampant alcoholism, I decided to remove the mixer bar from their kitchen, and also took the opportunity to revamp their kitchen. Finally, after a few more renovations, I finished the office on the second floor and moved their bedroom upstairs for more room and better lighting (in my opinion).

I think the new kitchen is much better. Not sure what I'll do with the freed room
downstairs though.
